Ruutia! Edition 2019

Compagnia TPO (ITA): MINI
Lovely and visual performance about shapes, colours and sounds from the world-known dance company TPO! Two opposite characters, each with its special nature and quality of movement, collide, meet and present themselves. The meeting of the two characters immediately inspires play and the scene opens up to the public, becoming a place where children can experiment: explore the space, shapes, sounds and colors put into play for them and around them. Shapes, sounds and colors react and come to life as a result of their movements and thus compose a great design.

De Stilte (NL): HiHaHutBuilders

An imaginative duet in an intimate setting.

In the middle of a blue field with fair-weather clouds, there’s a … well, what is it actually? Because no one knows what it is, we call it a bed, a mountain, a house or anything else we think of. A man and woman appear. Like the fluttering of a butterfly, the stories emerge.

De Stilte treats young and old to an imaginative unfolding and evolving story in intimate surroundings. A tiny universe with dew, sun, wind, rain and snow is brought to life, in which the boundaries between audience and dancers gradually become blurred.

Thu 25.4. at 10 am & 6 pm @ Hurjaruuth’s Stage
Age recommendation: 2+. Duration approx. 40 min.

Memorywax Dance Co. (SWE): Claroscuro

Claroscuro is a dance performance curiously investigating shapes, fantasy and the contrast between light and darkness.

Can we see light and colors even when we close our eyes? Does objects and color appear differently in another light? Join our exploration celebrating curiosity, the secrets of ordinary objects and the power of change – where something comes to an end something else begins.

The title is put together by the two Spanish words claro (light) and oscuro (darkness). It refers to the contrasts of colors used by painters to enhance or give focus to specific parts of a painting.
